The law this policy follows

We handle personal data in line with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 (the PDPL), supervised by the UAE Data Office. The PDPL's executive regulations had not yet been issued when this policy was last updated, so where detail is still to be settled we follow the law's stated principles: collecting only what we need, using it only for the purpose we collected it for, and keeping it secure.

What we collect and why

When you order, we collect your name, email address, phone number and delivery address, because we cannot fulfil an order without them. When you use our contact or quote forms we collect what you type into them. We use this information to fulfil your order, respond to you, and keep the accounting records the law requires.

Payments

Card payments are processed by Stripe and PayPal payments by PayPal. Your full card details go to the payment provider, not to us; we never see or store them.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, and it only runs if you accept it in our cookie banner. Details are in our Cookie Policy.

Who we share data with

We share your delivery details with the courier delivering your order, and order data with the payment provider you chose. We do not sell personal data.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept as long as accounting and tax law requires. Enquiry messages are kept for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and a reasonable period afterwards.

Your rights

Under the PDPL you can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it where we no longer have a legal reason to keep it. Email theteam@insectscreens.ae.org and we will respond. You can also complain to the UAE Data Office.
